Who I Serve
Individuals
The frantic pace of modernity can cause us to be overstimulated, overstretched, anxious, and lonely. Cut off from the natural world, the pace at which life operates rarely leaves time for self-care, healing, and growth-oriented awareness.
We seldom slow down enough to process the traumas that undercut our journey.
Therapy is where we put all of our doing aside and tend to our being. It is a space to process our accumulated grief, loss, feelings of self-doubt, and loneliness, a place to understand how we were never supposed to do it all on our own.
Teens
Technology, social media, ecological degradation, and social isolation can create a daunting environment for youth to understand the world they’ve inherited. Helping teens make meaning of their lives, while engaging with their process of understanding who they are, is central to my therapeutic ethos. I utilize a variety of kinesthetic tools that creates opportunities for connection to their own selves within the process.
The teenage years can be a challenging period for families where autonomy and responsibilities are constantly in shift and long-standing family patterns are challenged. My aim is to help teens and their parents strengthen their connection and communication during this pivotal period of developmental transition.
Couples
Many couples reach out for therapy because they feel isolated from their partner, utterly unheard, and are seeking meaningful connection again. Many more hope to rekindle their romantic spark, to increase their intimacy, and to feel safe accessing the vulnerability in each other.
My aim is to help couples together build strong patterns of communication and learn methods of forgiving past hurts. Becoming skillful with conflict resolution methods and practicing the art of repair when inevitable disagreements occur are crucial facets for a healthy, sustained relationship.
